Home Office
The County of Hertfordshire was divided into five coroners' districts by the Hertfordshire (Coroners' Districts) Order 1974. Two of these, St. Albans and Watford, were amalgamated to form the St. Albans-Watford coroner’s district by the Hertfordshire (Coroners' Districts) (Amendment) Order 1974.
This Order amalgamates the Hemel Hempstead and St. Albans-Watford coroners' districts to form a single West Hertfordshire coroner’s district.
