The A501 Trunk Road (Euston Road, Camden) Red Route (Prescribed Routes) Traffic Order 1998
Commencement and citation1.
This Order may be cited as The A501 Trunk Road (Euston Road, Camden) Red Route (Prescribed Routes) Traffic Order 1998, and shall come into force on 9th January 1998.
Interpretation2.
In this Order—
(a)
a reference to an article followed by a number is a reference to the article of this Order so numbered;
(b)
causing includes permitting;
(c)
“Midland Road” and “Judd Street” means those roads so named in the London Borough of Camden;
(d)
“the eastern island” means the easternmost pedestrian refuge situated in the mouth of Midland Road at its junction with the A501 Euston Road;
(e)
“the western island” means the westernmost pedestrian refuge situated in the month of Midland Road at its junction with the A501 Euston Road;
Prescribed Routes3.
(1)
Subject to the provisions of article 4, no person shall cause any vehicle on entering the A501 Euston Road from Midland Road, Camden, on the eastern side of the eastern island, to proceed in any direction other than south into Judd Street.
(2)
Subject to the provisions of article 4, no person shall cause any vehicle on entering the A501 Euston Road from Midland Road, Camden, between the eastern island and the western island, to proceed in any direction other than west into the A501 Euston Road.
Exemptions4.
The controls specified in article 3(1) and (2) do not apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
