Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Black Country Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 19th May 1998.
Amendment of Establishment Order2.
“Nature and functions of the trust3.
(1)
The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.
(2)
The trust’s functions shall be—
(a)
to own and manage pursuant to 5(1)(a) of the Act Edward Street Hospital, Edward Street, West Bromwich, West Midlands B70 8NL and Heath Lane Hospital, Heath Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands B71 2BQ and there to provide hospital accommodation and services;
(b)
to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act Hallam Street Hospital, Hallam Street, West Bromwich, West Midlands B71 4HU and there to provide hospital accommodation and services; and
(c)
to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act 48 Lodge Road, West Bromwich, West Midlands B70 8NY and associated premises and from there to provide community health services.”.

This Order amends the Order (“the Establishment Order”) which established the Black Country Mental Health National Health Service Trust.
The Establishment Order is amended to confer on the trust the purpose specified in section 5(1)(b) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 to provide and manage Hallam Street Hospital, Hallam Street, West Bromwich, West Midlands B71 4HU.
