Whereas section 5 of the House of Commons Disqualification Act 1975(1) enables Her Majesty by Order in Council to amend Schedule 1 to that Act in accordance with a resolution of the House of Commons:
And whereas on 13th February 1997 it was resolved by the House of Commons that Schedule 1 to the Act of 1975 be amended:
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of the said section 5 and in accordance with the said resolution, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—
