The Public Service Vehicles (Conditions of Fitness, Equipment, Use and Certification) (Amendment) Regulations 1997

These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Vehicles (Conditions of Fitness, Equipment, Use and Certification) (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 3rd March 1997.

In the regulations specified in column (1) of the Table below for the amounts specified in column (2) of the Table there shall be substituted the amounts specified in column (3) of the Table.

These Regulations amend the Public Service Vehicles (Conditions of Fitness, Equipment, Use and Certification) Regulations 1981 as follows.
The fee payable for a certificate of initial fitness is reduced from £129.00 to £124.00, both on the first application, and on any subsequent application when the test which that application will require includes a test of stability under regulation 6. The fee payable for the certificate on any other subsequent application is reduced from £15.40 to £15.00.
The fees payable for type approvals are reduced from £744.70, £69.90, £368.60 and £1592.30 to respectively £715.00, £67.00, £354.00 and £1530.00.
The fee payable for a duplicate certificate is reduced from £8.80 to £8.00.
