Transitional Provisions

23.—(1) Where, before 1st April 1997, a person has been issued with a voucher pursuant to regulations 9, 10, 11 or 16 of the 1989 Regulations but that voucher has not been accepted or used before that date, then such a voucher may be accepted or used in accordance with the provisions of regulations 12 or 18 of the 1989 Regulations as though they remained in force.

(2) The amounts specified in regulation 19(1)(b) and (3), column 3 of Schedule 1 and Schedules 2 and 3 shall apply only to a voucher accepted or used on or after 1st April 1997 pursuant to regulation 12 or regulation 17.

(3) Where, before 1st April 1997, a person has made an application in pursuance of the provisions of regulation 6, 10 or 14 of the 1989 Regulations and his application has not been determined before that date, his application shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of those Regulations as though they remained in force.
