Citation and Commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Local Government Changes for England (Education) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1997.
Hampshire County Council: functions in respect of specified schools2.

The functions referred to in paragraph (1) are functions of the Council of the County of Hampshire in respect of the following schools—
Kanes Hill County Primary School;
Netley Court Special School;
Townhill County Infants School; and
Townhill County Junior School;
including any functions of the local education authority under the articles of government for any of these schools.
Staffordshire County Council: functions in respect of Aynsley Special School3.
St George’s Roman Catholic Grant-maintained School, Southampton4.
St George’s Roman Catholic Grant-maintained School shall be treated for all purposes connected with education as if it were wholly within the area of the City of Southampton.
This Order provides for the exercise on and after 1st April 1997 of functions in respect of specified schools in consequence of the transfer of certain local authority functions from the Hampshire County Council to the Southampton City Council and from the Staffordshire County Council to the Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
