This Order may be cited as the Housing Act 1996 (Commencement No. 9) Order 1997.
Commencement2.
Section 227 of the Housing Act 1996 in so far as it relates to the repeals in Part II of Schedule 19 to that Act shall come into force on 3rd March 1997.

This Order brings into force on 3rd March 1997 the repeals in Part II of Schedule 19 to the Housing Act 1996 relating to the control of houses in multiple occupation.
The following provisions of the Housing Act 1996 have been brought into force or will be brought into force by commencement orders made before the date of the Order.
