The Bethlem and Maudsley National Health Service Trust (Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1997

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 92(1) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having regard to the change in the arrangements for the administration of a hospital formerly managed by Croydon Health Authority, having consulted that Authority and the Bethlem and Maudsley National Health Service Trust in accordance with section 92(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

(1)

This Order may be cited as the Bethlem and Maudsley National Health Service Trust (Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 11th February 1997.

(2)

In this Order—

“the Authority” means Croydon Health Authority;

“the trust” means the Bethlem and Maudsley National Health Service Trust;

“the trust property” means the items specified in a schedule of trust property prepared by and agreed upon by the Authority and the trust on 10th October 1996 which schedule has been signed on behalf of the Authority and the trust.

Transfer of trust property2.

On 11th February 1997 the trust property shall be transferred from the Authority to the trust.
