The provisions of the 1997 (No. 2) Act specified in Part I of the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on 17th December 1997, save that:
(a)
subsections (3) and (4) of section 2 shall come into force on that date for the purposes only of making a compensation scheme, and
(b)
subsection (7) of section 2 shall come into force on that date to the extent only that it relates to the repeals listed in the said Part I.
