Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by sections 171(2) and 182(2) of the Merchant Shipping Act 19951 and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Liability and Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage) (Transitional Provisions) (Revocation) Order 1997, and shall come into force on 16th May 1998.

The Merchant Shipping (Liability and Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage) (Transitional Provisions) Order 19962 is hereby revoked.
