The exceptions are section 36 and Schedule 3 which relate to the detention of terrorists and which are not in force. 3 The temporary provisions of the 1996 Act except section 36 and Schedule 3, and the 1989 Act provisions, shall continue in force for a period of twelve months beginning with 16th June 1997.
