Nature and functions of the trust3

The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

The trust’s functions shall be—

a

to own and manage under section 5(1)(a) of the Act hospital accommodation and services provided at the Seacroft Hospital, York Road, Leeds LS14 6OM (including the management of its teaching and research facilities);

b

to provide and manage under section 5(1)(b) of the Act hospital accommodation and services at St James’s University Hospital, Beckett Street, Leeds LS9 7TF and associated hospitals (including the management of their teaching and research facilities); and

c

to manage under section 5(1)(b) of the Act community health services provided from the St James’s University Hospital, Beckett Street, Leeds LS9 7TF, and to own the associated premises.
