The Royal Free Hampstead National Health Service Trust (Amendment) Order 1996

Coming into force
The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred upon him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and section 5(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902 of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

This Order may be cited as the Royal Free Hampstead National Health Service Trust (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st April 1996.

Amendment of Establishment Order2.

In Article 3(2) of the Royal Free Hampstead National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19903 (functions of the trust), paragraph (a) is amended as follows:—

(a)

after “London NW3 2QG and”, there is inserted, “the Royal Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, Gray’s Inn Road, London WC1X 8DA”, and

(b)

for “its teaching and research facilities”, there is substituted, “teaching and research facilities”.

This Order amends the Royal Free Hampstead National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1990 to include in Article 3(2)(a) the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, and its associated hospitals and premises and their teaching and research facilities, as establishments which are owned and managed by the Royal Free Hampstead National Health Service Trust.
