The Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (General) Amendment Regulations 1996

Coming into force
Whereas a draft of the following Regulations was laid before Parliament in accordance with section 6(3) of the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) Act 19941 and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 171D and 175 of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19922, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals to make these Regulations should not be referred to it3, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations, which may be cited as the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (General) Amendment Regulations 1996, shall come into force on 8th April 1996.
Amendment of the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (General) Regulations 19952
In regulation 17 of the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (General) Regulations 19954, in sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (2), for “£44” there is substituted “£45.50”.
