Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3(1), 4(1) and 19(1)1 of the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs Act 19762 hereby makes the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 2nd December 1996.

In Part I of the Schedule to the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs Regulations 19853, for the amount “£365” there shall be substituted the amount “£405”.

These Regulations change the daily fee charged under the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs Regulations 1985, as amended by the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations 1987, 1992, and 1995, for the use of approved test chambers in connection with the testing of refrigerated goods vehicles, railways wagons and containers carrying perishable foodstuffs on international journeys. The other fees for testing, and for type approval and examination remain the same.

The fees for testing are as follows:
