The Special Trustees for the Middlesex Hospital(Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1996

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 92(1) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having regard to the change in the arrangements for the administration of facilities managed by the former Bloomsbury Health Authority as part of the former St Peter’s Hospital and now managed by the University College London Hospitals National Health Service Trust as part of the Middlesex Hospital, having consulted the special trustees for St Peter’s Hospital and the special trustees for the Middlesex Hospital in accordance with section 92(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Special Trustees for the Middlesex Hospital (Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st October 1996.

(2) In this Order—

“the St Peter’s special trustees” means the special trustees for St. Peter’s Hospital;

“the Middlesex special trustees” means the special trustees for the Middlesex Hospital;

“the trust property” means the items specified in a schedule of trust property prepared by and agreed upon by the St Peter’s special trustees and the Middlesex special trustees on 16th October 1995, which schedule has been signed on behalf of both the St Peter’s special trustees and the Middlesex special trustees.

Transfer of trust property

2.  On 1st October 1996 the trust property shall be transferred from the St Peter’s special trustees to the Middlesex special trustees.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order transfers to the special trustees for the Middlesex Hospital on 1st October 1996 trust property formerly held by the special trustees for St Peter’s Hospital. A copy of the schedule of trust property to which the Order refers can be obtained from the Department of Health, Finance and Performance — Audit Liaison Branch, Room 4N23, Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7UE.
