The Cattle Passports (Fees) Order 1996

Coming into force

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 84(1) of the Animal Health Act 19811, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, with the approval of the Treasury in accordance with that section, hereby make the following Order:

Title and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Cattle Passports (Fees) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 23rd September 1996.

Replacement cattle passports2

Any person applying for a replacement cattle passport under the provisions of article 13 of the Cattle Passports Order 19962 shall pay to the appropriate Minister a fee of £50.

The fee shall be payable in full before a replacement passport is issued at the time that an application for a replacement passport is lodged with the appropriate Minister.

The fee shall be forfeited if the applicant withdraws the application or the appropriate Minister is unable to obtain sufficient information to issue a replacement passport.
