The Financial Services Act 1986 (Gas Industry Exemption) (Amendment) Order 1996

Coming into force

The Treasury in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 461 and section 205A2 of the Financial Services Act 19863, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following order:

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Financial Services Act 1986 (Gas Industry Exemption) (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 22nd May 1996.

Amendments2

In article 1 of the Financial Services (Gas Industry Exemption) Order4 the words“Financial Services Act 1986 (Gas Industry Exemption) Order 1996” shall be substituted for the words “Financial Services (Gas Industry Exemption) Order”.

This Order amends article 1 of the Financial Services (Gas Industry Exemption) Order by substituting for the words “Financial Services (Gas Industry Exemption) Order” in that article the words “Financial Services Act 1986 (Gas Industry Exemption) Order 1996”.
