The Road Traffic (Special Parking Area) (Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames) (Amendment) Order 1995
NOW, the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) and section 77(6) of the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Special Parking Area) (Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames) (Amendment) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 31st March 1995.
Interpretation2.
In this Order—
“the 1991 Act” means the Road Traffic Act 1991;
“the excluded areas” means the areas in the royal borough of Kingston upon Thames referred to in the Schedule to this Order; and
Exclusions from special parking area3.
(1)
The excluded areas shall cease to form part of the special parking area designated by article 3(1) of the principal order.
(2)
The modifications of the 1984 and 1991 Acts contained in articles 4 and 5 of the principal order shall cease to have effect in relation to the excluded areas.
Amendment of Schedule to the principal order4.
(1)
The Schedule to the principal order shall be amended as follows.

Haycroft Road between its junction with Hook Road and a point 6.5m west of that junction.”

Hook Road—
(a)
(west side) between the southern kerbline of Gladstone Road and a point 8.5m south of the common boundary of 3 and 4 King Edward Drive; and
(b)
(east side) between a point 2.5m south of the northern flank wall of 177 Hook Road and a point 8.5m south of the common boundary of 3 and 4 King Edward Drive, including the circulatory carriageway of Hook roundabout.”

“(iv)
(service road fronting 1 to 67 Robin Hood Way) between its junction with Robin Hood Way (A3) and a point 2m north of the southern flank wall of 23 Robin Hood Way.”

SCHEDULEAREAS IN THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES CEASING TO FORM PART OF THE SPECIAL PARKING AREA

The areas to be transferred from the royal borough of Kingston upon Thames to the county of Surrey and the district of Epsom and referred to in article 4(1) of the Greater London and Surrey (County and London Borough Boundaries) Order 1994.

The areas to be transferred from the royal borough of Kingston upon Thames to the county of Surrey and the district of Mole Valley and referred to in article 5(1) of the Greater London and Surrey (County and London Borough Boundaries) Order 1994.
This Order amends the Road Traffic (Special Parking Area) (Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames) Order 1994 (“the principal order”) by excluding from the special parking area designated by that order certain areas which are to be transferred to the county of Surrey in accordance with local government boundary changes. The consequential modifications made by the principal order to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 cease to apply to the excluded areas. Minor amendments are made to the list of roads excluded from the special parking area as set out in the Schedule to the principal order.
