The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 7(1) of the Coal Industry Act 1994(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and being satisfied as mentioned in section 7(5) of the Act, hereby makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Coal Industry (Restructuring Date) Order 1994.
(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Coal Industry Act 1994.
2. The date appointed for the purposes of section 7 of the Act shall be 31st October 1994.

This Order appoints 31st October 1994 as the restructuring date for the purposes of the Coal Industry Act 1994.
The Order has the effect inter alia of bringing into force on the appointed day the provisions specified in section 68(2) of the Act.
