Article 9
1. In the Local Government (Compensation for Premature Retirement) (Scotland) Regulations 1979(1), in Schedule 1–
(a)at the end of paragraph (k) for the full stop there shall be substituted a semi-colon; and
(b)after paragraph (k) the following paragraph shall be added:–
“(l)The University of Dundee, but they shall be an employing authority only in relation to a pensionable employee who immediately before 1st August 1994 was in pensionable employment at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, was transferred to employment at the University of Dundee on 1st August 1994 and has not ceased to be employed there at any time since that date.”.
2. In the Teachers' (Compensation for Premature Retirement) (Scotland) Regulations 1980(2), in Schedule 4–
(a)at the end of paragraph (h) the word “and” shall be deleted;
(b)at the end of paragraph (i) for the full stop there shall be substituted a semi-colon; and
(c)after paragraph (i) the following paragraph shall be added:–
“(j)The University of Dundee.”.
3. In the Teachers' Superannuation (Scotland) Regulations 1992(3), in Schedule 2, after paragraph 5A there shall be inserted the following paragraph:–
“5B. Employment as a teacher in the Schools of Architecture, Town and Regional Planning, Design, Fine Art, Food and Accommodation Management or Television and Imaging at the University of Dundee, where the teacher immediately before 1st August 1994 was in pensionable employment at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, was transferred to employment at the University of Dundee on 1st August 1994 and has not ceased to be employed in any of the said Schools there at any time since that date.”.
