SCHEDULE 5U.K.CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY

1.  A certificate of registry for a ship registered or to be registered on Part I of the Register shall contain:—U.K.

(a)the full name and address of the owner(s),

(b)the number of shares owned by each owner and if any are jointly owned, with whom they are owned

(c)the following information about the ship:—

(i)name,

[F1(ii)either the IMO number or HIN number, as appropriate,]

(iii)radio call sign,

(iv)port of choice,

(v)official number,

(vi)year of build,

(vii)method of propulsion e.g.whether sail, steam, motor or dumb,

(viii)length-metric units,

(ix)breadth-metric units,

(x)depth-metric units,

(xi)type of ship e.g. dry cargo, oil tanker, passenger, bulk carrier,

[F2(xii)such of the following tonnages as are specified in the certificate of survey; gross, net and registered,]

(xv)engine make and model,

(xvi)engine power in kilowatts,

(d)the date of issue of the certificate,

(e)the date the certificate expires.

2.  A certificate of registry for a fishing vessel registered or to be registered on Part II of the Register shall contain:—U.K.

(a)the name and address of each owner,

(b)the name and address of any charterer,

(c)the number of shares and, if any are jointly owned, with whom they are owned,

(d)the following details about the vessel:

(i)name,

(ii)port of choice and [F3port number],

(iii)official number,

(iv)IMO number,

(v)radio call sign,

(vi)registered length,

(vii)overall length,

(viii)breadth,

(ix)depth,

(x)net tonnage,

(xi)gross tonnage,

(xii)engine make and model,

[F4(xiii)maximum continuous engine power, in kilowatts, or if the owner notifies the Registrar of a modification, permanently de-rated engine power in kilowatts,]

(xiv)year of build,

(xv)date of entry into service,

[F5(xvi)modification explanation]

(e)the date and time of the issue of the certificate,

(f)the date of expiry of the certificate.

[F6(g)the kind of registration (i.e. whether it is full or simple registration).]

3.  Bareboat Charter ShipsU.K.

A certificate of bareboat charter [F7registry] for ships registered or to be registered on Part IV of the Register shall contain the details prescribed by either paragraph 1(a), (c), (d) and (e) (for ships other than fishing vessels) or paragraph 2(a), (b), (d), (e) and (f) (for fishing vessels) and the following:—

(a)the name and address of the charterer,

[F8(b)the unique number allocated to the ship for identification purposes by its primary register,]

(c)country of primary registration,

(d)original name (or a [F9translation] thereof) if different from its registered name.
