The Severn Bridges Act 1992 (Appointed Day) Order 1992

The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of his powers under sections 37 and 39 of the Severn Bridges Act 1992(1) and of all other enabling powers hereby makes the following Order:—

1.  This Order may be cited as the Severn Bridges Act 1992 (Appointed Day) Order 1992.

2.  The 26th April 1992 shall be the appointed day for the purposes of the Severn Bridges Act 1992.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order makes 26th April 1992 the appointed day for the purposes of the Severn Bridges Act 1992.

The Order enables the Secretary of State to implement on that day, by means of a further Order, the tolls provided for under that Act and to implement certain other provisions of the Act.
