The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 92(1) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having regard to the change in the arrangements for the administration of the Weston Park Hospital and its teaching and research facilities formerly managed by Bristol and District Health Authority resulting from the establishment of the Weston Area National Health Service Trust(2), having consulted that Health Authority and that Trust in accordance with section 92(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Weston Area National Health Service Trust (Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st April 1992.

(2) In this Order—

“the Authority” means Bristol and District Health Authority;

“the Trust” means the Weston Area National Health Service Trust;

“the trust property” means the items specified in schedules of trust property prepared by and agreed upon by the Authority and the Trust on 21st February 1992, which schedules have been signed on behalf of both the Authority and theTrust.

Transfer of trust property

2.  On 1st April 1992 the trust property shall be transferred from the Authority to the Trust.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order transfers to the Weston Area National Health Service Trust on 1st April 1992 trust property formerly held by Bristol and District Health Authority. A copy of the schedules of trust property to which the Order refers can be obtained at the Department of Health, National Health Service Trust Unit, Richmond House, 79 Whitehall, London, SW1A 2NS.
