FOOD
These Regulations amend Regulations having effect under the Food Safety Act 1990, the Natural Mineral Waters Regulations 1985 made under the European Communities Act 1972 and the Food Labelling Regulations 1984 and the Food Labelling (Scotland) Regulations 1984 which have effect under both those Acts. Regulation 2(1) removes from the Regulations listed in the Schedule the specified provisions in those Regulations which exempt from their application supplies of food under Government contracts to Her Majesty’s forces or food supplied for consumption by a visiting force, within the meaning of the Visiting Forces Act 1952 (c. 67, as amended by the Criminal Justice Act 1988, c. 33, section 170 and paragraph 14 of Schedule 15). Those Regulations will now apply to such supplies of food.

Title and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Food (Forces Exemptions) (Revocations) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 16th November 1992.
Revocations of forces exemptions2

Subject to paragraph (2) below, the Regulations specified in columns 1 and 2 of the Schedule to these Regulations are hereby amended by revoking the provisions of each of those Regulations specified in column 3 of that Schedule.

The revocations made by paragraph (1) above shall not have effect in relation to any food prepared and labelled for sale before 16th November 1992.
