These Regulations specify natural prawns and shrimps and any part of them for the purposes of the definition of “rod and line” in section 24(1) of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Protection) (Scotland) Act 1951. They apply throughout the River Cree salmon fishery district for the whole of each year. The effect is to prohibit the use of natural prawns and shrimps (or any part of them) as bait when fishing by rod and line for salmon and sea trout.
