The Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 3) Order 1990

Coming into force

The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred by section 1 of the Import, Export and Customs Powers (Defence) Act 19391 and now vested in him2, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 3) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 15th April 1990.

The Export of Goods (Control) Order 19893 shall be further amended as follows:

a

Article 4(e) shall be deleted; and

b

in Group A of Part I of Schedule 1 (Goods specified by reference to Headings and Sub-headings of the Combined Nomenclature (“CN”)), there shall be deleted the entries relating to the following CN headings:

  • 91801 (Cocoa beans, whole or broken, raw or roasted);

  • 9ex 1803 (Cocoa paste (in bulk or block), whether or not defatted);

  • 91804 (Cocoa butter, fat and oil);

  • 9ex 1805 (Cocoa powder, not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter, otherwise than in retail packs each of less than 3.5 kg).

This Order further amends the Export of Goods (Control) Order 1989 by lifting export control in relation to cocoa beans, cocoa paste, cocoa butter, cocoa fat, cocoa oil and cocoa powder.
