The A12 Trunk Road (Leyton Way, Waltham Forest) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1990

This Order may be cited as the A12 Trunk Road (Leyton Way, Waltham Forest) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1990and shall come into force on 26th March 1990.

In this Order—
“Leyton Way” means the length of the A12 Trunk Road in the London Borough of Waltham Forest known as Leyton Way;
“northern traffic island” means the island site located in the northern half of the carriageway of Leyton Way at its junction with Whipps Cross Road; and
“southern traffic island” means the island site located in the southern half of the carriageway of Leyton Way at its junction with Whipps Cross Road.

A person causing or permitting a vehicle in Leyton Way to pass to the left of the northern traffic island shall cause that vehicle to turn left into Whipps Cross Road and in no other direction.

A person causing or permitting a vehicle in Leyton Way to pass between the northern traffic island and the southern traffic island shall cause that vehicle to turn right into Whipps Cross Road and in no other direction.

A person causing or permitting a vehicle in Whipps Cross Road to turn left into Leyton Way shall cause that vehicle to pass to the left of the southern traffic island.
7.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding southwestwards in Leyton Way to make a right turn so as to enter Poppleton Road.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
