In exercise of the powers conferred by section 129(1) of the Education Reform Act 1988 (“the Act”)1 the Secretary of State for Education and Science hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Education (Designated Institutions) (Amendment) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 4th April 1990.

The Education (Designated Institutions) Order 19892 is hereby amended by the deletion from Part 2 of the Schedule thereto of the institution named the College of St Paul and St Mary and the insertion in that Part, at the appropriate place in alphabetical order, of the institution named Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education incorporating the College of St Paul and St Mary (being an institution appearing to the Secretary of State to fall within subsection (2) of section 129 of the Act).
