The Electricity Act 1989 (Consequential Modifications of Enactments) Order 1990

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 112(2) of the Electricity Act 1989(1) and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—

1.  This Order may be cited as the Electricity Act 1989 (Consequential Modifications of Enactments) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 31st March 1990.

2.  The enactments mentioned in columns 1 and 2 of the Schedule to this Order are hereby modified to the extent specified in column 3 of that Schedule.

In Schedule 7, Part II–

(a)

in paragraph 1(1) for the words “the Central Electricity Generating Board” there shall be substituted the words “National PLC”; and

(b)

in the table in paragraph 2 for the words “Central Electricity Generating Board” there shall be substituted the words “National Power PLC”.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order makes modifications to the Channel Tunnel Act 1987 and the Dartford—Thurrock Crossing Act 1988. These modifications are consequential on section 66 of the Electricity Act 1989 (by virtue of which are the property, rights and liabilities of the Central Electricity Generating Board became property, rights and liabilities of successor companies.)50p net
