Whereas notwithstanding the repeal of the Merchant Shipping (Colonial) Act 18691 any Order any in Council made under section 6 of that Act shall by virtue of section 745(1)(a) of the Merchant Shipping Act 18942 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) continue in force as if it had been made under the Act:

And whereas it is expedient that one such Order in Council be revoked:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 738(1) of the Act and all other powers enabling Her Majesty, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Registrar of British Ships (Gibraltar) (Revocation) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 30th January 1991.

The Order in Council declaring that the Captain of the port in Gibraltar shall be a Registrar of British Ships in that possession dated 11th July 18773 is hereby revoked.
