The Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (Commencement No. 10) Order 1990

17th December 1990
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 195(2) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (Commencement No. 10) Order 1990.
2. Section 30(2) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, insofar as it is not already in force, shall come into force on 1st January 1991.

Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 1st January 1991 section 30(2) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (declaration of acceptance of office of councillors etc.) for the purposes of section 83(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (c. 70)(declaration made by chairmen and councillors of parish and community councils).
