4.—(1) The trust shall have, in addition to the chairman, 5 non-executive directors and 5 executive directors.
(2) The hospital referred to in article 3(2)(a) is a hospital which, in the opinion of the Secretary of State, has a significant teaching and research commitment and accordingly one of the non-executive directors shall be appointed from The University of Manchester.
