The Secretary of State for the Environment, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, after consultation with such representatives of local government as appear to them to be appropriate, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 76(4) and 143(1) of the Local Government Finance Act 1988(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:–
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Revenue Support Grant (Specified Bodies) Regulations 1990 and shall come into force on 2nd November 1990.
2. The Local Government Management Board is hereby specified for the purposes of section 76(4) of the Local Government Finance Act 1988.
3. In relation to any financial year beginning on or after 1st April 1991, the Rate Support Grant (Specified Bodies) Regulations 1988(2) are hereby amended by the deletion, in regulation 2, of the following entries:
“(a)The Local Government Training Board;”
“(d)The Local Authority Management Services and Computer Committee (LAMSAC);
(e)The Local Authorities' Conditions of Service Advisory Board;”.

Sections 78 and 79 of the Local Government Finance Act 1988 provide for revenue support grant to be payable to any body which provides services for local authorities and which is specified by the Secretary of State in regulations.
These Regulations specify the Local Government Management Board. The Rate Support Grant (Specified Bodies) Regulations 1988 are revoked in so far as those Regulations specify the Local Government Training Board, the Local Authority Management Services and Computer Committee (LAMSAC), and the Local Authorities' Conditions of Service Advisory Board.
