Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by sections 9 and 10(7) of the Antarctic Treaty Act 19671, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Antarctic Treaty Act 1967 (Isle of Man) (Variation) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 7th July 1990.

The Antarctic Treaty Act 1967 (Isle of Man) Order 19702 is varied by deleting, in paragraphs 3, 4 and 6 of the Schedule, the words “, if approved by resolution of Tynwald,”.

This Order varies the Antarctic Treaty Act 1967 (Isle of Man) Order 1970 by removing the requirement for certain Orders in Council under the Antarctic Treaty Act 1967 to be approved by Tynwald before they have effect in the Isle of Man.
