The Mostyn Docks (Pilotage) Harbour Revision Order 1989

Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Harbours Act 19641 and now vested in him2 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and on the application of Mostyn Docks Limited in accordance with section 7(5) of the Pilotage Act 19873, hereby makes the following Order:–
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Mostyn Docks (Pilotage) Harbour Revision Order 1989 and shall come into force on 20th January 1989.
Interpretation2
In this Order–
“the Company” means Mostyn Docks Limited;
“the harbour” has the same meaning as in the Mostyn Docks Harbour Empowerment Order 19884;
Extension of limits of jurisdiction for purposes of pilotage3

The limits within which the Company shall have jurisdiction for the purposes of pilotage under Part I of the Pilotage Act 1987 shall include (in addition to the harbour)–
the waters of the River Dee from immediately below the Old Dee bridge at Chester to the imaginary straight lines mentioned in paragraph (2) below.

The lines referred to in paragraph (1) above are–
a
a line from a point at latitude 53° 21'.35N, longitude 3° 19'.20W, to a point at latitude 53° 22'.00N, longitude 3° 18'.20W; and
b
a line from that point to a point at latitude 53° 23'.15N, longitude 3° 11'.83W.
