Article 2
1. After article 4 there shall be inserted the following article:
“5. The provisions of the Immigration (Carriers' Liability) Act 1987 shall extend to the Isle of Man with such exceptions, adaptations and modifications as are specified in the Schedule hereto.”.
2.—(1) The Schedule shall be varied in accordance with the following provisions of this paragraph.
(2) In paragraph 1(1) after “that Act” there shall be inserted “or to the Immigration (Carriers' Liability) Act 1987 or any provision thereof”.
(3) In paragraph 16, for “Finance Board” there shall be substituted “Treasury of the Isle of Man”.
(4) In paragraph 26, for any reference to the Isle of Man Local Government Board there shall be substituted a reference to the Isle of Man Department of Health and Social Security.
(5) After paragraph 34 there shall be added the following provisions:
35. In section 1 –
(a)in subsection (3), for the words from “by statutory instrument” to the end there shall be substituted “with the approval of Tynwald”, and
(b)in subsection (5), for “the Consolidated Fund” there shall be substituted “the General Revenue of the Isle of Man”.
36. In section 2 –
(a)subsection (3) shall be omitted, and
(b)in subsection (4), for “4th March 1987” there shall be substituted “the date of the extension of this Act to the Isle of Man.”.”
