Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends and revokes various instruments. The amendments set out in Part 1 of the Schedule to this Order are made so that the provisions in that Part which are framed by reference to a specified age expressed as a number of years are instead framed by reference to school-leaving age.

The revocations set out in Part II of the said Schedule are made in order to remove restrictions relating to the employment of young persons between school-leaving age and 18 years of age.
