The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 37(2) and 86(1) of the Animal Health Act 19811 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
Title and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Horses (Landing from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland) (Revocation) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 30th January 1989.
Revocation2.
The Horses (Landing from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland) Order 19542 is hereby revoked.
In Witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 22nd December 1988.

This Order revokes the Horses (Landing from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland) Order 1954 which required (with certain exceptions) horses imported into Great Britain from Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland to be landed at certain ports approved by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and to be examined on landing by a veterinary inspector (article 2).
