In exercise of the power conferred on me by section 76(4) of the Local Government Finance Act 1988(1), and after consulting such representatives of local government as appear to me to be appropriate, I hereby make the following Regulations:

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Revenue Support Grant (Specified Bodies) Regulations 1989 and shall come into force on 19th December 1989.

2.  The Fire Service College is hereby specified pursuant to section 76(4) of the Local Government Finance Act 1988.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations specify the Fire Service College, being a body which provides services for local authorities, as a body to which revenue support grant is payable in accordance with Part V of the Local Government Finance Act 1988.
