Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 10(3) of the Fuel and Electricity (Control) Act 19731, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Fuel and Electricity (Control) Act 1973 (Continuation) (Jersey) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 30th November 1989.

Sections 1 to 8 of the Fuel and Electricity (Control) Act 1973, as it has effect in the Bailiwick of Jersey, shall continue in force for a period of one year beyond 30th November 1989, being the date on which they would otherwise expire.

This Order continues provisions of the Fuel and Electricity (Control) Act 1973 in force in the Bailiwick of Jersey for one year from 30th November 1989 (being the date to which those provisions were continued in force by the Fuel and Electricity (Control) Act 1973 (Continuation) (Jersey) Order 1988 (S.I.1988/1848)).
