The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Secretary of State for the Home Department in accordance with section 7(6) of the said Act of 1984, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the A40 Trunk Road (Western Avenue, Ealing) (Prohibition of Left Turn) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 14th November 1988.
2. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding in the westbound carriageway of the length of the London-Fishguard Trunk Road (A40) in the London Borough of Ealing known as Western Avenue to make a left turn into Alliance Road.
3. Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
