The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 36(4) and (5) of the Gas Act 1986((1)) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Gas (Register) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 1st March 1988.
2. The register maintained under section 36(1) of the Gas Act by the Director General of Gas Supply (in this Order referred to as “the Director”) shall be open to public inspection between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. except on Saturdays, Sundays and official holidays on which the office of the Director is closed.
3. The fee for the supply of a copy of, or extract from, any part of the register certified by the Director to be a true copy or extract shall be £1 for the first five sheets (or fewer) copied and 10p for each additional sheet copied.

This Order prescribes the hours during which the register maintained by the Director General of Gas Supply under section 36 of the Gas Act 1986 is to be kept open for public inspection and the fees payable to the Director for the supply of copies or extracts from the register.
