In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by sections 91 and 198(2) of the Licensing Act 19641, I hereby make the following Rules:

These Rules may be cited as the Licensing (Extended Hours Orders) (Amendment) Rules 1988 and shall come into force on 1st August 1988.

The Licensing (Extended Hours Orders) Rules 19622 shall be amended by substituting for Rule 1 the following Rule:

Subject to the provisions of these Rules, the procedure on the consideration by licensing justices of an application—
a
for the making or variation of an extended hours order, or
b
for the revocation of an extended hours order
shall be as nearly as may be the same as the procedure followed by the justices on the consideration of, in the case of an application such as is mentioned in paragraph (a) above, an application for the grant of a justices' licence and, in the case of an application such as is mentioned in paragraph (b) above, opposition to the renewal of a justices' licence.

Rule 3(2) of, and Part II of the Schedule to, the Licensing (Extended Hours Orders) Rules 1962 are hereby revoked.
