The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Secretary of State for the Home Department, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the A41 Trunk Road (Edgware Way, Barnet) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 1st June 1987.

In this Order:—

  • “Edgware Way” means that length of the London-Carlisle-Glasgow-Inverness Trunk Road (A41) in the London Borough of Barnet known as Edgware Way; and

  • “pedal cycle” has the same meaning as in regulation 4(1) of the Traffic Signs Regulations 19812.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle, other than a pedal cycle, proceeding in Edgware Way to enter Oakmead Gardens.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle, other than a pedal cycle, to enter Edgware Way from Oakmead Gardens.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
