Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 10(3) of the Evidence (Proceedings in Other Jurisdictions) Act 19751, or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Bermuda (Evidence) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 1st July 1987.

Subsections (2), (3) and (4) of section 8 of the Evidence (Proceedings in Other Jurisdictions) Act 1975 and the provisions of Schedule 2 to that Act that relate to the Foreign Tribunals Evidence Act 18562, the Evidence by Commission Act 18593, the Extradition Act 18704, the Evidence by Commission Act 18855 and section 3(1)(b) of the Arbitration (International Investment Disputes) Act 19666, as amended in its application to Bermuda7, shall extend to Bermuda.
