The Special Hospital Boards (Amendment of Constitution) Order 1987

Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Social Services, in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 11 of the National Health Service Act 19771, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Special Hospital Boards (Amendment of Constitution) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 13th March 1987.

Amendment of Orders2

Article 4 (constitution) of the Rampton Hospital Board (Establishment and Constitution) Order 19862 shall be amended by substituting “9” for “7”.

Article 4 (constitution) of the Broadmoor Hospital Board (Establishment and Constitution) Order 19863 shall be amended by substituting “9” for “7”.

Article 4 (constitution) of the Moss Side and Park Lane Hospitals Board (Establishment and Constitution) Order 19864 shall be amended by substituting “9” for “7”.

This Order amends the Rampton Hospital Board (Establishment and Constitution) Order 1986, the Broadmoor Hospital Board (Establishment and Constitution) Order 1986, and the Moss Side and Park Lane Hospitals Board (Establishment and Constitution) Order 1986 so as to increase maximum membership of the three special health authorities established by those Orders from, in each case, seven members to nine members.
