The Import Duty Reliefs (Revocation) Order 1987

Coming into force

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1 and 4 of the Customs and Excise Duties (General Reliefs) Act 19791 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Import Duty Reliefs (Revocation) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 10th November 1987.

The Import Duty Reliefs Order 19702 is hereby revoked.

This Order does not restrict any relief from customs duty otherwise than in pursuance of a Community obligation.

This Order provides for the revocation of an Order relating to the relief from import duty of certain goods imported for use or demonstration at exhibitions or other events held in the United Kingdom. The position is now governed by Title XX of Council Regulation (EEC) No.918/83 (O.J. No. L105, 23.4.83, p.1.).
