The Data Protection (Fees) (No. 2) Regulations 1987

Coming into force

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by sections 6(7), 8(5), 40(7) and 41 of the Data Protection Act 19841 and after consultation with the Registrar and with the approval of the Treasury in accordance with the said section 40(7), I hereby make the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Data Protection (Fees) (No. 2) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 11th November 1987.

Regulation 2 of the Data Protection Regulations 19852 and the Data Protection (Fees) Regulations 19873 are hereby revoked.

The fee payable under section 6(7) of the Data Protection Act 1984 on an application for registration and under section 8(5) of that Act on an application for the renewal of registration shall be £40.

These Regulations increase from £22 to £40 the fee which is to accompany an application to the Data Protection Registrar for registration or for the renewal of registration under the Data Protection Act 1984.
